DESCRIPTION:This course is for anyone designated as Fire Marshal / Fire Warden who is allocated to fire safety responsibilities in the prevention of fires and implementing orderly fire evacuations should a fire occur. \nIt also helps employers to meet their statutory insurance obligations and to protect staff and property under current fire safety legislation such as The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. \nBulk Discounts Available \nNeed multiple places?A company course delivered online or in person may be more cost-effective. Contact us for details. \nCONTACTThis course does not include practical fire extinguisher trainingAims & Objectives\nTo enable employers to meet their statutory insurance obligations and to protect staff and property under current fire safety legislation\, i.e. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. \nEnabling Fire Marshalls / Wardens to achieve a thorough awareness and understanding of the threat posed by fire\, their personal responsibility in preventing an outbreak and the action to be taken should a fire occur. \nWho Is It For?\nDesigned for all staff designated as “Fire Warden” or “Fire Marshal”.  \nThis course has been designed to ensure that attendees achieve a thorough awareness and understanding of the threat posed by fire\, their personal responsibility in preventing an outbreak and the action to be taken should a fire occur. \nCourse Content\nThis course incorporates both the theoretical and practical* aspects of Fire Warden/Marshal training\, including: \n\nFire Legislation;\nCommon Causes of Fire and their prevention;\nSafety Features Within Buildings;\nFire Risk Assessment (as a Fire Warden Role);\nPeoples behaviour in fire situations;\nWhat to do in Case of Fire (including use of Fire Extinguishers);\nSafe Evacuation of Premises;\nAction at Assembly Points.\n\n*This course does not include practical extinguisher training. \nQualifications\nFire Warden/Fire Marshal certificate\, valid for 3 years. \nDuration\nUp to 2 hours. \nTerms and Conditions \n6 working days’ notice of cancellation/postponement prior to the start of the course must be given. Failure to do so will lead to a 75% cancellation fee. Courses cancelled/postponed within 48 hours or less prior to the start of the course will incur a 100% fee. \nCourses may be rescheduled once only and must be rescheduled within 2 weeks of the original course date to avoid the 75% fee.
