Asbestos

Asbestos fibres can only be inhaled if they’re released into the air and breathed in, so well-maintained, intact asbestos containing materials don’t pose a health risk.

Although it is now illegal to use asbestos, any building built before 2000 should be considered to contain asbestos in some form unless the results of surveys prove otherwise.
