The condition of buildings must be monitored to ensure they have appropriate stability and solidity for their use. Buildings must be able to sustain use from aspects such as vibration, floor loadings etc.

Every enclosed workplace must be adequately ventilated with a sufficient quantity of fresh or purified (air conditioned) air.

Every window (or other transparent or translucent surface in a wall) must be made of a safety material or be protected against breakage. It must also be appropriately marked or incorporate features to make it apparent.
