The course concentrates on the practical aspects of safely managing a production:

• Roles and responsibilities in programme making, both within the production team and those outside
• The potential pitfalls of risk management and how these may impact upon the programme making process
• Application of risk management principles using real-life case study examples
• How to establish and maintain control through clearly defined occupational risk roles and responsibilities

The Production Safety Passport (PSP) is an industry-led scheme to support the mutual recognition of health and safety training in the Creative Media Industries. The same health and safety skills are needed across a range of creative media sectors that are involved in film and television production.

That’s why ScreenSkills have worked with the industry to create the Health and Safety Framework, an agreement across sectors about which qualifications or training courses are needed for priority production roles. It means that training and qualifications you do with one employer will be recognised and valued by your next employer.
