Lifting Operations

The Regulations cover a wide range of equipment including, cranes, forklift trucks, lifts, hoists,
mobile elevating work platforms, and vehicle inspection platform hoists. The definition also includes lifting accessories such as chains, slings, eyebolts etc

If you are an employer or self-employed person providing lifting equipment for use at work, or you have control of the use of lifting equipment, then the Regulations will apply to you.

Alastair is a Chartered member of IOSH who hold a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, a Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice and a Level 5 Award in Crowd Safety Management. He has over 20 years' experience working in Film, Theatre, and Events after gaining a BA in Technical Theatre and Stage Management from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He specializes in supporting productions particularly in CDM compliance and rigging safety.
