We are the largest, most experienced safety consultants to the events, media and entertainment industries.

We believe safety should support – not stifle – the creative process. We help clients realise their creative vision while managing risk in film, television and live events.

Starting out over 20 years ago supporting the independent television production sector, First Option has grown to provide safety consultancy across feature film, high-end drama and major live events. Today we support productions, broadcasters and venues in the UK and internationally, plus we deliver more than 12,000 individual safety training courses each year.

We’ve also developed a suite of e-tools offering real-world safety advice 24/7 so clients can plan, manage, and sign off safety processes across borders, time zones and languages.
