Sharps

Sharps as props need careful handling and disposal – but when filming in derelict sites where drug users may have been injecting, discarded sharps can be extremely hazardous.

Hypodermic needles carry particular emotional connotations which must not be underestimated and can cause psychological trauma due to the fear of poisoning or infection.
