Safe Management of Live Events

This course is designed to give you a broad overview of the Health & Safety issues to be considered when producing live music or major events.

After the course you should be able to identify potential hazards likely to be associated with the production and outside broadcast of such events.

Who is it for?

The course is aimed at staff working mainly in music production, from Producers through to Broadcast Assistants.

Essentially anyone who could be responsible at some point for the production or tasked with the conducting and recording Risk Assessments for live events.

  • Provides you with an overview of Health and Safety legislation and how it relates to the safe management of live music or major events.
  • Gives you a clear understanding of the health and safety responsibilities and duties of Employers, Employees and Contractors.
  • Helps you develop the required skills in hazard recognition specific to live music or major events, with use of guidance via the intranet, study of previous accidents and incidents at major music events and the completion of a suitable and sufficient risk assessment.
  • Recognition of hazards or situations which require additional information or specific competence and how to obtain such information.
